Where Lay-z-days Events provides event hire services, equipment rentals, or event-related products, the following conditions apply.

Responsibility for Equipment

Customers are responsible for ensuring that hired equipment is:

  • Used safely and appropriately

  • Supervised where required

  • Protected from damage, theft, or misuse

The customer accepts responsibility for the equipment from the time of delivery until collection or return.

Damage or Loss

Customers may be liable for the cost of repair or replacement if hired equipment is:

  • Lost

  • Stolen

  • Damaged through misuse or negligence

Reasonable wear and tear is excluded.

Safety Requirements

Customers must ensure:

  • Equipment is used according to any instructions provided

  • Children are supervised by responsible adults

  • Equipment is used only for its intended purpose

Lay-z-days Events is not responsible for injuries caused by misuse, negligence, or failure to follow safety guidance.

Liability

Event Cancellation, Weather & Venue Restrictions

Customer Cancellations

If a customer needs to cancel an event booking, notice must be provided as soon as possible. Deposits paid to secure bookings may be non-refundable unless otherwise agreed. 

Lay-z-days Events reserves the right to charge reasonable costs incurred where preparations, staffing, or equipment allocation have already been made for the event.

Weather Conditions

Some equipment and event services may be affected by unsafe weather conditions including, but not limited to:

  • Strong winds

  • Heavy rain

  • Storms

  • Extreme temperatures

Lay-z-days Events reserves the right to cancel, delay, or suspend the use of equipment or services if weather conditions present a safety risk.

Where possible, we will work with customers to reschedule the booking. Safety decisions made by Lay-z-days Events staff are final.

Venue Restrictions

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the chosen venue:

  • Allows the setup and use of hired equipment

  • Has sufficient space and safe access for installation

  • Provides any necessary permissions from the venue owner or operator

If Lay-z-days Events is unable to install equipment due to venue restrictions, access issues, or safety concerns, we reserve the right to refuse setup without liability.

Right to Refuse Service

Lay-z-days Events reserves the right to refuse or stop services if:

  • Equipment is being misused

  • Safety instructions are not followed

  • The environment becomes unsafe for staff or guests

In such circumstances, refunds may not be issued.

8. Intellectual Property
