📦 Customs & Import Fees Notice

Important Import Information for U.S. Customers:

Used to exist: For decades the U.S. allowed most packages valued under $800 to clear customs duty-free (known as the de minimis exemption).

❌ Now: As of May 2 2025, the U.S. ended the de minimis duty-free exemption for goods made in China (including Hong Kong) — so even low-value packages from China must pay duties and taxes.

Then on August 29, 2025, the U.S. extended the end of the de minimis exemption to all countries, meaning no country now has a duty-free $800 threshold for imported goods into the U.S.

What this means for our customers?

• Even if the order value is under $800, customs duties still apply. There is no automatic duty-free clearance anymore.
  
  • All products imported from China from our supplier are subject to U.S. customs duties and applicable import fees.

  • For products imported to United States

Now as of Jan 2026 We estimate customs duties of approximately 30% of the item’s total declared value, plus a small processing and carrier clearance fees (varies by shipping method).

This rate can fluctuate we do our best to update this section as when there are changes so its important to keep this in mind when ordering inflatables from our store)

• These costs are not included in the listed product price You will be contacted by fedex or ups if there are duties to be paid.

For example if an inflatable is £149 you will pay this and check out in our store - we include free shipping to all countries.

If you are located in US when your goods arrive at customs for example based on your goods being £149 you would be billed £44.70 cusom duty fee (30% total) + a very small MPF (stands for Merchandise Processing Fee) see below.

This MPF is calculated for example;

If your imported LED inflatable decor has a declared value of $1,000:

MPF = 0.3464% × $1,000 ≈ $3.46 estimate

So its very tiny amount but worth noting.

Import Fees Estimate for Customers in other countries including UK

For a £149 LED inflatable event decor product imported from China (our supplier) - customers should expect to pay approximately:

• Customs Duty: Around £3 to £12 (2%–8% of product value)
  
• VAT: About £31 (atleast 20% on product value + customs duty. This % varies depending on your country but usually no more than 27% at the highest excluding U.S which i mentioned above 30%)
  
• Customs Handling Fee: Typically £8 to £15
  

Total estimated import fees based on a £149 item purchased : £40 to £58 just so you get an idea of amount billed to you. This is payable upon request from the shipment carrier either fedex or ups.

This is just a estimate but again worth noting.

They are so helpful & will be able to advise you the best way to make the led inflatables fire retardant as i know some venues require this. Fireproof spray.co.uk can also provide certification.

All LED inflatable decor items are carefully videoed and photographed during quality control before shipping to ensure they leave our warehouse in perfect condition.

• We do not accept returns or exchanges unless the product is damaged during transit
  
• If you receive a damaged item, please notify us immediately with photos and we will assist in opening a damage claim with the courier on your behalf.
• All decor must be checked by yourself within 3 days of receiving good
